Jan please tell us about
yourself.
A:I was born in Paarl and I have been
living in the Western Cape all my life. I am
very much a social person who loves gettogethers with friends. I love good food &
wine, the outdoors, camping, hiking & the
beach. I love music and good movies.
I love to cook and entertain my friends
around a cozy fire. Last but not least, I
love photography - it runs in my blood–
it’s part of my DNA.

Where did you grow up?
A:I grew up in Cape Town.
Where are you based and what
geographical area do you cover?
A:I am based in Durbanville, where I
have a permanent studio that has been
in existence for the last 22 years. I cover
assignments in the Western Cape as well
as the UK, Europe and Greece.
What made you choose photography as
a profession?
A: I could never imagine a world
where I would not be able to create
photographically.
