garden where extensive signage explains exactly
what is being cultivated.
Nestled on the Zulu Kingdom’s subtropical sugar
belt, this 5-star boutique retreat radiates understated
opulence and reveals a side of Africa that is little seen
by the international traveller. Set in sub-tropical forest
against a rugged coastline, this luxurious resort offers
guests year-round sunshine, which can be soaked up
by the pool - with staff to indulge your every whim … or
on one of the glorious beaches nearby.
The property boasts 19 luxurious suites within a
contemporary blend of Tuscan architecture, African
features and Balinese influences. The different styles
of architecture form a convivial mix and are most
often described as “an African heart with an eastern
spirit”. Five luxurious freestanding villas are spread
out in manicured grounds and each villa offers two
Executive Suites, two Deluxe Suites, a private courtyard
and an 8-seater Jacuzzi.
Luxurious living manifests itself in the Royal Suite – the
preferred choice of vip’s and Hollywood celebrities.
Sprawled across the entire top floor of Villa Ingelosi,
it encompasses a bar, dining area, personal deck
and Jacuzzi, which incidentally overlooks the Indian
Ocean. The Royal suite is perfect for honeymooners;
in fact, bridal couples will fall in love with Hotel Izulu!
They may marry in bliss in the hotel’s chapel and then
celebrate in style in the banqueting hall.
At the 2013 Diner’s Club Winelist Awards, the
5-star Hotel Izulu, Ballito, was awarded the impressive
Diamond status, gaining a score of over 90%, for its
new and extensive wine list. This is the third year that
the Hotel has won an award and the first year it has
gained the prestigious Diamond status.
The Banqueting Hall is purpose built with outstanding
facilities that can seat up to 140 guests at fourteen
round tables each suited to cater for 10 guests. The
Thatched hall is fully air conditioned and is fitted
with glazed concertina doors that open onto the
richly landscaped gardens. The venue can be laid
out according to the guests personal requirements.
Our multi denominational chapel is situated close
to the Banqueting Hall. A dressing room for the
bride may be provided subject to prior agreement
and availability.
There is a dedicated kitchen that is manned by
the Executive Chef and his team, and there is also
a dedicated management and waiting team at
your disposal.
The tables are supplied with white table cloths and
linen napkins. The chairs are padded and are fitted
with freshly laundered white covers. Fine crockery,
cutlery and glassware is also provided. Other items
such as an easel for the seating layout and a lectern
for speeches are also available. There is a boma
area that can be lit with a log fire upon request. The
venue has its own independent restrooms and there
is ample free guarded parking. •
