Jane Shepherds is the brand manager at Topshop and claims that their company officially targets consumers aged 15-30( The Guardian, 2002) that being so, the‘ Mass market’ appears to have a relationship between young adults and the brands within. If this is the case, brands would need to portray their clothing brand on social media apps used by this target audience. The popularity of snapchat for young adults was used as an opportunity by ASOS by which they were featured on‘ Snapchat’ during London Fashion Week, whereby discounts were available for those who viewed. Hypothetically this would have led to higher exposure and more publicity thus more sales. Overall,‘ London fashion week’ s story’ was watched more than 20 million times in the UK, Germany, France and Australia..( Williams- Grutm, 2016) Needless to say, this would have led to high exposure for ASOS.
