Additionally, delivery discounts can
also influence a consumer’s decision
on their purchase. In a survey of 3,000
adults 66% claimed that they took
their money elsewhere due to delivery
costing and 49% claimed they’re more
like to purchase more clothing from a
brand if there was better, cheaper or
convenient delivery options (Success,
D and Hunter, D 2015) Topshop for
example, offer free standard delivery
over purchase above £50.00 (Topshop
2016). Over and above that, brands
like ASOS offer free standard delivery
over purchase above £20.00 (Asos
2016) thus this will have an influence
on consumers as they will be fond of
spending less for free cost delivery.
As students struggle to
find money to keep up
with trends as Maintenance
grant loans cease to exist
anymore, Student discounts
are vital for student life. In a
survey of 722 UK University
students it was found that
67% of students expect
student
discount
(The
Beans Group - Youth Media
Company, 2015). Therefore
this shows the momentous
of student discount within
a young market; which
indicates that brands within
the mass market sector
need to focus on increasing
annual
discount
and
promotional codes to attract
their kind of consumers.
