Sitting here on a Sunday morning reflecting on the year in beer so far . We started off attending the Hamm ’ s show and delivering some frame jobs . No scores for me at this one . We have been very busy with work and things here at the Tavern on the Ridge so we were unable to make Omaha and Evert McClay . Our show at Schell ’ s was really good this year and I scored a nice upgrade for my Schell ’ s Wood Duck mirror thanks to Father Furray . The show in LaCrosse came around and me and Big Bird spent that weekend working on my shop building . Thanks Dave ! I did score the J . F . Kernan that I wrote about in Double TT ’ s Road Trips ( page 8 ). We ’ re heading back to Minnesota soon for another run at a beer sign and hopefully we can make the Nordlager show in July . Pittsburgh and NABA are early August which promises to be lots of fun . If you were in Pittsburgh for BCCA in 2003 you know what I mean . August will be Bago Beer Bash which is always fun . Sept we ’ re heading to Norfolk , VA for BCCA Canvention . I grew up across the bay in Newport News so I want to go see my old neighborhood etc . As I ’ m sitting here writing this an old boy from Pennsylvania writes me regarding this Border Batch clock he won at Canvention 11 . He ’ s looking to sell it and wondered if anyone here was interested . I told him the chapter would probably like to purchase it back and possibly use it for a fundraiser . We ’ ll see what happens . Keep hunting . There ’ s still good stuff out there . Just ask Jay Martin !
Take care and Prosit ! Tom # 28855
