UPDATE ON 3 BIRDS AND A BLOKE
In a normal year we would be preparing for the 3 rd Annual Long Lunch to be held in early October .
This year organizing events for the farming community of Brewarrina has become increasingly difficult due to Covid 19 .
Our recently held “ Come as you are BBQ ” was a small event which went well , however , many felt uncomfortable attending a gathering during the current health crisis .
We have had discussions around running the Long Lunch including limiting numbers and spreading people out but we are very aware that for the last two years 100 plus have enjoyed the day and turning people away from a function such is this is not what 3 Birds and Bloke is about .
So , we have decided to postpone the Long Lunch until restrictions ease , and we all feel happy about gathering again .
The NSW DPI continues to support what 3 Birds and Bloke do for the community and these funds are being kept for events run in the future .
We wish all a fantastic season and hope it continues .
One thing can be assured that when we do get together again it will be one big party including all in the community .
