Upstream /
Midstream Oil & Gas
Our energy projects team advises clients on upstream and midstream oil and gas, from the earliest stages of exploration and field development through to oil and gas production, and from the wellhead to pipeline, processing and storage infrastructure.
We act for a diverse range of clients including international oil companies( IOCs), national oil companies( NOCs), independent producers, midstream operators, financial institutions, export credit agencies and host governments across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and beyond.
Upstream, we advise on concessions and production sharing agreements, joint operating agreements, farm-in and farm-out, unitisation arrangements, drilling contracts, and the full suite of project documents required to bring an oil and gas field to production.
Midstream, our team advises on the development, construction, financing and operation of oil and gas pipelines, gathering systems, processing plants, compression facilities and terminal infrastructure. We assist clients in negotiating pipeline transportation agreements, throughput and deficiency arrangements, and interconnection agreements with producers and offtakers, ensuring that our clients’ infrastructure assets are commercially robust and bankable.
