Transmission Infrastructure

• OFTOs— Japanese trading company on its purchase of interests in certain OFTO assets, and EIB on its part financing of an OFTO acquisition, United Kingdom *
• Greenlink— Partners Group on its investment in the Greenlink 500 MW subsea interconnector between Great Britain and Ireland together with funds managed by Hudson Sustainable Investments *
• Walney I— Mitsubishi on its purchase of interests in certain OFTO assets such as Walney I and EIB on its part financing of an OFTO acquisition *
• German LNG Terminal GmbH— development and operation of the first large-scale LNG import terminal in Germany, to be located near Hamburg
• RTE— advising the French transmission operator on the“ FAB” project( France – Alderney – Britain) consisting of the construction of an electrical interconnector underwater and underground between France and Great Britain via the island of Alderney. This project will travel nearly 220 km and will allow a maximum transmission of 1,400MW and thus contribute to the increase of energy trade between the two countries and to the development of marine renewable energy in the Channel Islands area. In particular, we advised RTE in the negotiation of its agreements with FAB Link Limited and in relation to the EPC contracts submitted in the context of the launching of a tender for the provision of a high voltage direct current( HVDC) cables and the realisation of conversion stations. Our role also includes advising on regulatory issues.*
• EirGrid and RTE— advice on the permitting and / or licensing requirements in relation to a proposed electricity interconnector cable route to run between mainland Europe and Ireland, known as the Celtic Interconnector Project. The project is being jointly developed by EirGrid plc and RTE and will provide the first direct electrical link between mainland Europe and Ireland, consisting of a 320 kV HVDC subsea / underground 700 MW interconnector approximately 600km long connecting the French and Irish transmission systems.*
• Electricity Interconnection France-Spain( INELFE)— advising the joint company set up by the French and Spanish electricity transmission system operators Réseau de Transport d’ Électricité and Red Eléctrica de España on a € 1.8 billion project to connect electricity transmission cables between Gatica in Spain and Cubnezais in France *
