Alternate Classrooms *( Mirage( D110))- Chancy Smith / Stacy Needham Are you tired of creating PowerPoints? Do you want some different ways to deliver information to your students? We will discuss ways of using a web camera, social networks, and websites in your classroom in order to help reach all students or even " flip " their studies.
WOW Engaged Students *( Bellagio( F110))- Dr. Peirson As Emeril would say,“ Bam we kicked it up a notch!” How do you kick it up a notch in your classroom with your students? How do you motivate them to be in charge of their own learning? How do you just have fun teaching while students have fun learning? These are all questions that lead us all to the same answer of engaging lessons lead to engaged students. Come join us while we do a quick review of the design qualities and we brainstorm ways to kick our lessons up a notch. Bring a few of your successful lessons to share out with the Boyd family. Also, please bring a few lessons that need to be kicked up a notch during this coming school year. Come to this session and prepare to be WOW’ ed!

We will look at making a plan to efficiently use your school time to get everything done. Organizing your before and after school time and conference period can make a huge difference in what you are able to accomplish. We will also look at classroom procedures that help to streamline your work.

Writing doesn ' t always mean students have to produce five page essays. We will introduce you to some resources that we have right here on campus that can help you in your classroom. We will also show you some activities that no matter what subject you teach, you can find a way to incorporate these lessons with minimal effort!
Dealing with Difficult Adults *( Star Dust( L106))- McDaniel / Sherry Wichman So, you’ re under attack in a parent conference and have no way out! What should you do? Or perhaps you’ re sitting in the lounge and you’ re fed up with negative ninny in the corner who is never happy about ANYTHING! What to do … what to do? Suppose you receive an email from a disgruntled parent, time stamped at 2 a. m., in ALL CAPS, calling you the worst example of a teacher they’ ve ever known. When and how will you respond? Come to this very informative session and receive the best training ever on how to respond accordingly when dealing with difficult adults.
