Well here we are starting the year as we mean to go on, A Tough Training
session on New Years Day, Its sort of romantic, Training when other Boxers
are Probably Enjoying the Holidays, Any advantage gained is a positive I
feel.
Just into January and I receive Great News from the Zambian Boxing Board
of Control that a June Boxing Show has been Confirmed in Lusaka, with
Contracts, TV Date and Opponent info will follow in due course. My
Application for a Professional Boxing Licence allowing me to Box in Africa
has also been approved, that too is on its way. So all Systems go and the
Countdown to Africa begins in earnest!
The next step was to put together a Management Team and to this end, I had
a Fantastic offer of Management by Jack Preston, Yes thats Right
'Preston' almost Fate this!! Jack who is Part of Renowned 'ELITE WELFARE
MANAGEMENT' from South of England will be Managing my Professional Boxing
and PR from now on, A great opportuinity for me as this Team have Many
Contacts in TV, Radio and the Press. So Exciting Times Lie ahead. Jack
will also be looking after Sponsorship for me with some News to that end
coming soon.
During January I was also invited to appear on Satellite Channel 'REAL TV'
to talk about Asians in Sport as part of a forum Alongside Top Womens
Football Coach Manisha Taylor, but due to unavoidable Circumstances I
could'nt make it so Hopefully that will be Re-arranged in the Near Future.
Training is going Well and I am shedding the weight so we are well ahead
of schedule and Gearing up for when full Fight Camp starts 8-10 weeks
before the fight date. Again I will be using the services of Professional
Conditioning Coach Ex-Pro Footballer Farrell kilbane of @FK4Fitness
probably one of the Best Conditioning Coach in the business. I even got
in a couple of football games to help with the fitness but they will be
the exception rather than the rule as any injury will not be covered by my
insurers, any way that would be rather unprofessional too!! Shame, Love
my football!!
As I say Training is all systems go, and will be seeking the Help of
Trainers Oliver Harrison and jonny Roye in Preparation for Africa, two of
the Best in Boxing!!
So the year has started positively and 'TEAM SUZ' is up and running......
