Surat area Cobb & Co Festival brings Surat to life The Cobb and Co Festival bought a wonderful weekend of activities to Surat. The little town was so alive with visitors and events. It was magnificent to see the Cobb & Co Coach leave the museum and travel the region, even with bushrangers in hot pursuit. The Crack Up Sisters lit up the Surat Riverside Markets with their wit and whips. Students from Surat State School had the privilege of accompanying country music star Tania Kernaghan during her concert and the kids were absolute stars! Mark Schuster, or Skippy as many now know him, bought a smile to the faces of everyone lucky enough to meet him and enjoy the tones of his faithful accordion. The Cobb & Co Festival was an unqualified success and great boon both culturally and economically for the Maranoa. Only five more years until the 100th anniversary celebrations!
