Tallebudgera 2019 - a
Hero’s Journey
On Sunday November 24, Year 5/6 Students
from Wallumbilla and Yuleba joined Surat
students for their bi-annual excursion to the
Tallebudgera Beach School at the Gold
Coast.
The theme of this year’s excursion was, ‘A
Hero’s Journey’. Students embarked on a
journey of individual transformation, as they
entered an exciting new world filled with risks,
challenges and problems to be solved.
Students worked together to solve these with
perseverance and resilience and were a
credit to their schools. Everyone arrived home
on Friday November 29. The students were
very tired, but ready to tackle life’s next
adventure using the new skills they had
developed.
Highlights from the week included
Dreamworld, David Fleay Wildlife Park,
Tobogganing and learning about the
Indigenous history of the Yugambeh people.
