A good crowd attended the night with free drinks and a BBQ and happily left their drought worries at home for a few precious hours. Much to the delight of the children Santa made an early appearance, complete with presents. Puddy Chandler compered the night, got drought tips from the crowd and discovered Santa had a preference for rum balls. Advance Injune is a progress association working towards the betterment of the Injune and District Community. It acts as an auspicing (i.e. banking) body for all small community groups and covers the insurance for group activities. It also liaises with the Maranoa Regional Council when community consultations are required. This provides a strong avenue to inform Council of Injune’s wishes and to disseminate Council information. Membership is $10 per business or family or $5 per individual, which ensures Advance Injune remains registered and can actively continue to work for this community. The community would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Puddy and the Advance Injune committee of Joy Denton, Rita Jackson and Christie Kelly.
