was the original shire that recieved the

so it was a very fortuitous name, you know,
the two things that make a steam engine go.”

St Patrick’s Spring Fete
St Patrick’s Spring Fete was a fresh and
colourful way to end a year of successful
fundraising with jumping castles, face
painting, show bags, plant stalls, ham wheels,
raffles, plus lots of fun stalls and novelty
activities for the kids. Santa rode in on his
flash bike and stayed to have his photo taken
with the kids and to wish everyone a very
Merry Christmas. The community pulled
together with many helping hands and lots of
support to make this another successful
fundraiser. Everyone was entertained into the
early hours with some great music from The
Shot Foxes. Next years fete, put it on your
