Now back to “The Stretch.” According to Wikipedia, “Stretching often occurs instinctively after waking from sleep, after long periods of inactivity, or after exiting confined spaces and areas.” If you recall from
last month’s article, I was laid off in 2013. Months later, I was still unemployed and starting a business was my only means of survival. In February of 2014, the company finally received its first check in the amount of $150.00, which means in the previous months, things were beyond rough. Family, all I had was my spirituality and my connection with the music. It was time to stretch… While, stretching does not appear to do much, many are fully aware that it is fundamental to moving forward with an effective workout.
In what seemed to be totally unconnected, I received several invites to the same house of worship: one from my first cousin, one from a poet and one from an associate. I declined all invites until I realized that
I was in the middle of a “God Moment,” and that acceptance was all apart of allowing my steps to be ordered. It was becoming apparent that My Creator would finish the work He began in me... (Phil 1:6)
During one solo visit, the Apostle of the house called me to the front of the tabernacle. While standing before the congregation, the Apostle had me stretch my arms out making a T with my body. One intercessor held my left hand while the other held my right. They pulled in opposite directions, and he asked if I could feel the stretch. I replied, “Yes.” He then said God was going to stretch me. He told me to get my plan together, to write the vision and make it plain, that business was coming. (Hab 2:2)
