Let’s think about that for a moment. So, you think you saw something, you believed what you saw, you were told what you saw was wrong. But, because of what you thought you saw, you hold on to it and believe your perception of the illusion although incorrect and given the correct information. Makes you think, just how many times have you truly believed something that you have thought? How many times have you thought something and then convinced yourself that the thought is true or real? Often times without any evidence or proof that your thoughts are true, real or even right. How many times have you played out a scenario in your mind that actually couldn’t be further from the truth, but convinced yourself that it is true and that is how is it? And suffered anxiety about the situation as a result.

And you do this over and over and over again, until it becomes habitual and instinctive. It becomes your predominated way of thinking and being. And before you know it your initial outlook on the situations in your life are of pessimism, negativity and doubt. You doubt the sincerity of others. You doubt that anything good will happen to or for you. You even doubt that there is anything good in your life. You begin to believe that happiness will always elude you and is only for other people.
