DON’T DO IT! You look unintellectually sound because it isn’t courage making you do this! It's sheer “dismissal of etiquette” and, the “shoot-your-shot” mentality, but you’re not even aiming! It’s like most of you are shooting with a blindfold on with no actual athletic ability, AT ALL. Be strategic, gentlemen. If you were playing a basketball game and had the game-winning shot from half-court and only 15 seconds on the clock, would you take the shot from half-court? Some of you might but most of you would NOT. You would try to get a little closer to the basket and set yourself up to win! A lay-up is easier than a jump shot every time! So, stop taking these half-court shots and take the time to make the best first impression you can.
Messenger has given you the opportunity to “get a girl's phone number” without actually having to go through the blank stares from her homegirls and little sister in a Target or Whole Foods check-out line. Well, look at God! But then you talk to her like you just learned the English language and forgot that a greeting comes at the beginning of a conversation! How Sway? You might as well stutter through the interaction because that would be so much better than “where you be at?” or “Who you be with” or those damn WYD messages! Like, COME OOONNNN!
