Adrienne: You are someone I met through Facebook and then in person because of your Brunch Club, and I see you own several businesses. Tell me, what was your key driving force to becoming an entrepreneur?
Sandy: It all started in Hollywood, California. I set out to pursue my dreams of being an actress and model, and the industry told me that I was too dark and too big to be successful in the industry, and I was "Urch? Ok. (that's the actual sound she made). So I was venting to a friend and telling her about my LA experience and was letting her know that I can absolutely do what these actresses and models are doing in Hollywood. I just need an opportunity and that I am capable of being successful in Hollywood. All I need is just one chance. I decided to create a platform for underrepresented plus-size Talent. And that's how "One Chance Entertainment" came about, which was a boutique production and management company.
Adrienne: Wow! That is so inspirational. Like, that is phenomenal. You know I'm all about representation, and I am proud of you for doing something that others would have let discourage them, but not only did you do it for you, you also created a company to help others. So I need to know more about your time in Hollywood because I googled you and Ma'am! You were working in LA! You won a whole competition before they even had mass competitions on television. Tell me about Bank of Hollywood.
