My Life As Nola Darling...
Monogamy is described as a relationship with only one partner at a time, rather than multiple partners. Have I ever been in a monogamous relationship? Sure. Did it suit me? Let's just say, for me I’ve found it's easier dealing with multiple people as opposed to just one.
I’m Majesty Santiago. For years I've been a Serial Dater. One who loves dating and experiencing new people! And, one who likes dating multiple people at one time. By now most of us have seen either the original film or the scripted series on Netflix, “She’s Gotta Have It”, originated by Spike Lee. I never saw the original film- don’t kill me- but I definitely have seen the Netflix scripted series version. Multiple times! A few people strongly suggested that I watch the show being that they thought I could relate to the story's main character, Nola Darling. Nola struggles to date 3 suitors, being attracted to the best in each of them but refusing to commit to any of them all the while cherishing her personal freedom instead. Oh, how I can relate!
