Can You Forgive?
Forgiveness Paradox: the emergence of strength from vulnerability.
In the realm of contract bidding, competition can be quite severe. Lauren often finds herself at the center of the storm. Lauren’s history of childhood abuse made her feel powerless. As an adult, Lauren’s fierce commitment to her work helped to quiet the pain and feel in control. She has committed seventy hours per week to complete her typical work tasks while developing an account worth six-figures for her jury consulting firm.
In the mist of, Lauren gaining access to high-powered business networks where she met Kim. They have become colleagues and eventually close friends. Each shares business strategy and personal information about their lives.
As competitors, Lauren and Kim often bid for the same projects. On the latest project, Lauren learns that Kim was awarded the contract. Disappointment turns to rage when Lauren learns that Kim took her strategy to secure the winning bid. Lauren’s resentment intensifies daily towards her friend. Will forgiveness allow her to move beyond the devastation?
Forgiveness centers around two primary considerations. First forgiveness has the notion of granting a release for harm committed. Once forgiveness is offered you no longer have to siphon off energy to fuel ideas or plots for revenge.
