Words from the Chairman’s desk

to apply our minds to. Our
goal is to prepare sustainable,
innovative solutions to these
challenges, which meet the
needs of our Clients and

very privileged to be working
in an environment where
our business success is so
closely linked to the positive
impact we have on people’s
lives in terms of providing
infrastructure, improving
energy efficiency, developing

As Bosch Holdings’ 2014 Young Engineer of the Year,
Meethan Gokool has certainly carried the Bosch flag and
made us very proud.
Meethan participated on an international level, as part of the
FIDIC Young Professional Management Training Programme,
with 40 other young professionals from around the world. The
programme is run over a period of nine months and is aimed at
expanding the knowledge of professional engineers, beyond
that of the technical environment. This covered subjects such
as human resources, financial assessment and analysis of a
company, business integrity and business development. Most
of the programme is run over a virtual platform and culminated
with a group meeting and interactive session in Rio, Brazil.
At the annual FIDIC Conference, Meethan was one of the YP’s
selected to present to the delegates – the topic: ‘The influence
that engineering and professional integrity of engineers can
have in reducing some of the world’s problems such as poverty
and corruption’. Meethan was ranked 2nd amongst the 40
other candidates from around the world.
Danai Magugumela – Managing Director of Bosch Stemele.
We, as Bosch Holdings, would like to congratulate Meethan

stage and are proud to have him as part of the Bosch Holdings
team.
