Staff & Leaders survey – Creating our culture
At our May staff engagement and culture workshop the Steering Group adopted this statement: ‘We
will work together to strengthen our staff relationships. We will begin this journey by having meaningful
discussions that will bring the organisation’s values to life and make the Bay of Plenty District Health Board
a great place to work.’
Now we are launching a major project – ‘Creating our culture’ – to further discuss the four topics chosen by
staff as their priority projects; implementing the CARE values, improving our inter-team and inter-personal
communication and the performance appraisal system, addressing inappropriate behaviour and bullying.
To enable us to address these priorities we need to develop our culture, improve staff engagement, and
sustain improvements in quality of care by working together to ‘Create our culture’.
This is the first step to kick off our overall Staff Engagement and Culture programme, which forms a key
part of our DHB strategic work.
To begin with we’d like to hear from you what it’s like working here, and your ideas for making the DHB an
even better place to work – by filling in this confidential survey. There is also a range of listening sessions
– you can find out more on OnePlace, throught the Strategic Priorities tab.
This survey takes between 10 - 15 minutes to complete. We hope that you'll agree taking a
few minutes to give your feedback and ideas, is a valuable use of your time.
