A range of actions have been agreed for 2014
to improve our performance against this
measure.
One of the factors impacting our ability to
meet this target was the 3.2% growth in ED
attendances qualifying for this measure
(serviced within Bay of Plenty hospitals) from
50,814 last year to 52,448 in 2013.
People have appropriate

Target Target Target
Our 2013/14 volumes have been purchased in
order to rebalance our results closer to the
expected national SIRs. Although our SIR
results are mixed (in terms of achievement of
targets), we have delivered in excess of the
target for Elective Services discharges.
