4. BAAR BAAR DEKHO

debut of Nitya Mehra. The romantic comedy centers
around two young people who meet, fall in love and get

and unhappy in his marriage with Diya (Katrina Kaif).
After a fight, the time is fast forwarded and it keeps escalating exponentially until he decides to do something
about it. He then plans on working it out with his beloved

Hollywood flick Click’s Bollywood interpretation. Slated
to release on September 9th, the movie has intrigued
us all.
5. PINK
This non-commercial thriller starring Amitabh Bachchan
and Tapsee Pannu, explores the dark side of what society puts sexual abuse victims through. From the tedious legal battles to the doubts posed by the people
towards the survivor, this film digs deeper away from the
comfort zone. Slated to release on September 16th, the
movie showcases Bachchan Senior essaying a role of a
lawyer asking uncomfortable, accusatory and invasive
questions from the victim. The trailer appears to have a
strong plot and decent acting. Our very own Coke Studio
singer, Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch has made her singing debut in Bollywood with this movie with her song Kari Kari.
6. TERI MERI LOVE STORY
Another Pakistani love triangle romantic comedy will be
exhibited on the silver screen in the beginning of the
upcoming month. Under the direction of Jawad Bashir,
the film revolves around three main characters played
by Ushna Shah (Esha), Mohib Mirza (Nael) and Omer
Shahzad (Ramis). As the trailer shows, the two male
leads will be battling it out Bollywood style to win the
heart of the desi maiden. This is triggered by her decision to marry Ramis instead of Nael. The cast also includes the likes of Mohsin Abbas Haider, Uzma Khan
and Laila Zuberi. Teri Meri Love Story is all set to release
on September 2nd 2016.
7. AKIRA
Clashing with Teri Meri Love Story is the Bollywood action-thriller Akira. Bollywood actress Sonkashi Sinha as
Akira Sharma, will be seen fighting in a remake of a
female-centric action film donning a role of the rough
and tough protagonist. In this action sequence, Sonakshi plays the role of a girl who does not bow down to
injustice or bullying and prefers to confront the nemesis
with her knuckles, exacting revenge. The trailer sparks
interest with a refreshing angle showcased in the film.
Produced, co-written and directed by AR Murugadoss,
this maybe just the gender bender flick to watch out for
this year.

associated with street singers wrong and earning their
fame through grit and pure talent. Directed by Ravi Jadhav, Banjo will make you dance to its catchy tunes. The
