Easy hacks to keep sweat
stains away
S
weat stains can be unpleasant and embarrassing,
so try using sweat pads or an antiperspirant to
prevent it, suggests an expert.
Reeta De Souza, make-up expert, shares some hacks
to prevent sweat patches on your clothes:
Protect with sweat pads
You can steer clear of embarrassing sweat stains by affixing a sweat pad to the area of the shirt under your arm
on each side. The pad will soak up the sweat and keep
your skin dry.
Switch to an antiperspirant
Deodorant does nothing to stop the increase of sweat
marks on clothes. Try antiperspirants instead, as these
will go a long way in keeping you dry on the area.
Go for talcum powder
It will absorb the sweat better before it soaks your
clothes. Additionally, it acts as an astringent, meaning
that it causes your pores to hamper, which may help with
sweating.
Try to clean your armpit with utmost care
regularly while bathing in morning.
It will keep the sweat from accumulating in your armpits
by washing away all the bacteria. If you clean that area
regularly, it also helps in avoiding unpleasant smell and,
of course, protects from sweat stains.
Clean it with wipes
Be it wet or dry wipes, both works well to control the
sweat. They are easy to carry in the bag and whensoever you get time to go to the washroom just wipe off
your underarms at regular intervals. It keeps you fresh
and you will surely be able to breathe easier since now
you are sweat-free.
Summer eye care
T
ired eyes can completely ruin your look. And during the summer, the harsh sunlight and the ambient dust and grime is the reason for swollen eyes.
Reason enough to protect the windows to your soul?
The amount of heat, dust and excessive sun light during summer can affect your eyes. Here are a few tips to
make your summer more enjoyable.
Use good sunglasses
Just as we use sunscreen to keep the sun's ultraviolet
(UV) rays from harming our skin, UV treatment in eyeglass lenses block those same rays from damaging our
eyes. Over exposure to UV light is thought to be a cause
of cataracts, retinal damage and other eye problems.
For summer, the ideal sunglasses are those with a wrap
around frame. It keeps the sun and the dust out. Typically, the UV light tends to reflect off water and snow. If
you are planning on water sports this summer, be sure
to use a good pair of sunglasses. After a day of exposure to the sun, redness can occur in unprotected eyes,
and in eyes which are prone to problems, the cornea
may even get injured.
Protective clear glasses
Outdoor activities like camping have become common.
However, in practising camping activities like chopping
wood or cooking around a campfire, be sure to use clear
protective glasses. All too often, flying embers in stiff
wind can lead to severe eye burns, which can easily be
avoided. Outdoor sports' like bicycling and dirt bike riding are activities where the eyes are likely to be hit by
flying debris. A little care will go a long way to let you
enjoy your vacation safely.
