Frozen yoghurt: The unhealthy
truth
Frozen yogurt is as bad for your health as ice cream. Research
has found that freezing yogurt kills certain good bacterium that
is found in normal yogurt and as a result it’s high in kilojoules.
One cup of regular vanilla ice cream contains 1150.6 kilojoules,
5 grams of protein, 31 grams of carbohydrates, 15 grams of fat
and 9 grams of saturated fat. One cup of regular vanilla frozen
yogurt contains 924 kilojoules, 5 grams of protein, 38 grams of
carbohydrates, 6 grams of fat and 4 grams of saturated fat. So
next time you crave the delight make sure that you watch your
portion.
Get gorgeous skin with olive oil
Olive oil contains vital fatty acids that help resist UV damage. The acids
also form part of the tissue that helps lock in all the moisture that
you would normally lose through heat and sweating during the hot
summer days. Research has shown that a daily intake of a tablespoon
of olive oil can help to protect your skin and keep it moisturised.
