ANGELA LUTZI DELLATORÈ and Scott Dellatorè had been visiting Florida for many years before deciding to make it their permanent home . “ We were living in Pennsylvania and frequently visiting Naples where my parents had a winter home ,” Angela says . “ We figured we ’ d eventually retire there . I was a successful counselor with a private practice , and Scott had a part-time practice as well as held various positions within the counseling field . There was no immediate need to move .”
But after further consideration and frequent trips “ down south ”, the couple had a change of heart . “ My parents continued to extend their winter stay in Naples , spending more and more time here . Then , when my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer ’ s at the age of 65 , I realized how short life really is and that we wanted to enjoy SWFL now ,” Angela says . “ Our daughter had just graduated from college , and our son from high school , we decided to make the move . In 2014 , we became residents ,” she says .
