Initially , the couple purchased a small home in Bonita Isles and came up with the notion that they ’ d start selling real estate part time . “ We figured we could do it on weekends , that it would be fun to hold open houses and meet new people ,” Angela recalls . Her upbringing certainly prepared her for the career . “ My sister and I played real estate growing up , she remembers . “ My dad was a contractor and builder , and he owned restaurants and also bought and sold a lot of real estate . By the time I was a senior in high school , we had moved 11 times . Through time , whether we were visiting people in another town or vacationing , real estate was always on the agenda .
“ WHETHER 15 MINUTES OR TWO HOURS AWAY , SEARCHING FOR PROPERTY WAS A PART OF DAILY LIFE , AS MY PARENTS LOOKED TO BUY , RENOVATE , OR SELL . MY FATHER ALWAYS HAD A KNACK FOR KNOWING WHEN TO BUY AND SELL . REAL ESTATE IS IN MY BLOOD .”
Angela and Scott went on to get their real estate licenses and teamed up to work together full time . They ’ ve since obtained brokers ’ licenses and now oversee a team of agents at their own boutique agency , The Dellatorè Group .
“ We complement each other very well ,” Scott observes . “ Angela is amazing at just about everything she does , and I am more detail-oriented . I don ’ t know if it would work as well if we had the same exact skill sets .” There ’ s also a practical advantage to their work together .
“ Most of the time , we ’ re working with couples . With our differing styles and personalities , it helps us in those situations ,” Angela says . “ You don ’ t know who will feel more comfortable working with each of us . It ’ s good that people have that option .”
As real estate agents , Angela and Scott were showing homes and communities from Ft . Meyers to Marco Island , but they fell in love with Bonita Bay , a master planned community located in Bonita Springs . This lush community was designed to blend with its natural surroundings to be in harmony with an unspoiled ecosystem of 2,400 acres . “ Upon first seeing the community , we knew we would move there . It ’ s a very special community , plus it was close to my parents ,” Angela exclaims . They made the move in 2018 to Bonita Bay and have never looked back .
Bonita Bay includes 3,100 private homes , condominiums , and villas located within 56 neighborhoods , three on-site parks , a beach park , community patrol , community activities and grounds maintenance , design review , and an administration department .
Though their territory covers in and around the Naples area , including Bonita Springs and Ft . Myers , Angela says most of her clients buy in Bonita Bay . “ The prices are a bit higher than other communities , but you really get more for your money here . The amenities make it all worth it ,” she observes . “ We have everything , and you really never have to leave .”
The member-owned Bonita Bay Club provides residents an opportunity to enjoy championship golf , tennis , a newlyrenovated fitness center and spa , and a magnificent new clubhouse with a variety of dining options . The full-service Bonita Bay Marina provides direct access to the Gulf of Mexico and offers wet slips , dry storage , and other amenities . “ And just outside the gates residents have access to phenomenal shopping and restaurants ,” says Angela . “ There really isn ’ t anything you won ’ t find here . The restaurants are exceptional .”
Initially , we saw Bonita Bay as a haven for either retired couples looking to settle somewhere warm and accessible or for snowbirds escaping the cold . Angela has noticed over the last few years that the area has really blossomed with people who are as much as 30 years away from retirement . “ Bonita Bay truly is an active and vibrant community ,” she says . “ It ’ s really wonderful .” Now , with the advent of COVID , she notes that the community is attracting multiple generations , even families with children . “ Because of the pandemic , more and more people are able to work remotely from home . Consequently , people , who are well established in their careers , are moving here from all over ,” she exclaims .
When not on the job , Angela and Scott love to host visits from their children – 29-year-old daughter , Samantha , who is a pharmaceutical sales representative in the area ; and 26-year-old son Jeffrey , who is a proud member of The Dellatorè Group ! They also spend a lot of time with Angela ’ s sister ( another Dellatorè team member ) and her family who live nearby . “ We also enjoy the many amenities the community has to offer ,” says Angela . “ We love to go boating . Scott loves to golf . We ’ re also foodies and enjoy the many restaurants the area has to offer .”
Angela and Scott cannot imagine living and working anywhere else . In fact , even their vacation locales can ’ t compare . “ Scott and I took a trip to one of the top , most exclusive resorts on the east coast of Mexico ,” she says . “ When we arrived , we were reminded of home with the meandering canals and lush , tropical landscaping , but it wasn ’ t nearly as nice . We are very fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful communities in the country .”
