Second, if government forces rich people to pay more taxes, it means that rich people’s endeavor is ignored or denigrated. We need to think about how rich people got rich. “Everything comes to him who hustles while he waits.-by Thomas A. Edison “According to this famous saying, we can realize that rich people got rich because they worked really hard and spent a long time on working. For example there is Oprah Winfrey. She was born into poverty and she was raped at age nine and became pregnant at 14; her son died in infancy. But, she overcame these adversities and she has been ranked the richest African-American of the 20th century. If she gave up and didn’t hard, she couldn’t have succeeded and got rich. So the rich deserve to be rich and enjoy their life since they worked hard. However if they are forced to pay more taxes, it means that their efforts are ignored, and they should not be treated like that.

Third, rich people are playing an important role in the economy. They invest a great deal of money in many corporations and companies, or even in America. According to Spectrum Millionaire Corner’s research in 2014, the rich invest their money in various fields, technology, healthcare, pharmaceutical, communications, real estate, and financial service and so on. Thus, it is no wonder to say that the economy cannot work without their cooperation. And if they are forced to pay more taxes, the pressure will discourage their investments and the economy will not function well, which will trigger more serious problems.

It is ethically great that rich people help the poor by paying more taxes, but it should not be forced. According to capitalism, their efforts should be respected. If they are forced to pay more taxes, it will cause a disaster to the economy. In order to prevent this disaster, we all need to consider and find another solution.
