Title: Rich people do not have to pay more taxes

According to 2009 IRS figures, people making more than $1 Million a year have an effective income tax rate of 24.4%. This fact shows how important the rich are in the economy. For a long time, we have learned that rich people should help the poor. However, it does not mean that rich people should be forced to help the poor. And it is not necessary that the rich should pay more taxes. There are three reasons supporting this opinion.

First, America is a capitalistic country, which means that people earn as much as they work. So, people who do not work hard deserve to live poor. Some people say that the structure of society makes poorer getting poorer phenomenon. But, in these days, only with a good idea, anyone can make money and get rich. Ken Robinson, a world-renowned speaker and advisor on education and the arts, said that creativity is a key to success in these days. Therefore it is just an excuse to say that the structure of society makes poverty; anyone can get rich if he or she has creativity. As a result, it is too unfair to oblige rich people to pay more taxes, and also it is not rich people’s responsibility to help poor people.
