A landlocked country in South America with one of the highest average altitudes. Bolivia is surrounded by Argentina, Peru, Chile, Paraguay, and Brazil. Bolivia ' s geography includes the Altiplano. a highland plateau in the Andes, and Lake Titicaca or Lago Titicaca. Lake Titicaca is the largest lake in South America and the highest navigable lake on Earth. The Andes mountains stretch across the western part of the country. Sucre being the countries capital is in a small mountainous patch. Lago Titicaca is located in the northwestern part of the country. Lago Titicaca flows south ward into the slow moving Desaguadero River which then flows into Lago Poopo. The country is about the size of Texas and California combined.
