Faculty Publications on the Rise
Our strategic plan calls for faculty to become more proficient in publishing their work. It is a
responsibility of faculty to create new knowledge and the responsibility of professionals to disseminate
the knowledge they create. The highest form of dissemination is through peer reviewed venues, most
often through publication in a professional journal. The process is not easy! It takes months to have
a manuscript reviewed by peers. Frequently changes and edits are needed before the manuscript is accepted. Then we wait months for the manuscript to actually show up in print. I am very proud of the
progress we have made in getting manuscripts accepted for publication in peer reviewed journals. This
shows the growth of our faculty. Here is a list of the publications during 2012. ?? % increase.
