Queen Ohamara wears the

the Abuja lifestyle space
recently especially with her
hands on event management
skills. BlueInk had a soulful
discussion about the event
business with her and we
did not forget to steal some
holiday planning tips.
2015. We plan events, help

vendors. It has not been a
smooth journey but it has
been getting better.
How will you describe the
growth of Abuja’s event
planning industry?
How long has your
event planning outfit
been operating? The event industry in Abuja
is picking up so well. There
are so many concerts and
parties and Abuja people are
beginning to loosen up and are
starting to enjoy themselves.
People attend more events
now and even RSVP when
you invite them for weddings.
The event industry in Abuja is
doing interesting right now.
Queen Maravie planners have
been in the business since What is the secret to
managing vendors?
I have been blessed to work
with vendors who are very
professional and it’s really
not easy managing vendors.
There are challenges but
it can be effortless some
times. We try to emphasize
the need for professionalism
when we work with them. The
challenge we face some times
is when a client pays some
vendors directly, they feel the
need to answer only to the
client but the professional
ones understand that when a
planner is involved, it means
the client wants the planner
to manage the entire event.
Most of them are cooperative
but a few have to be put in
check and be told what a
client wants.
