SCIENCE QUIZ BOW L 20 17

?The Science Quiz Bowl was a
success!? Mrs. Tracy Oleson, a science
teacher from Alpha Omega Academy,
exclaimed. The quiz bowl, which was
held on November 2nd, covered the
categories of Physical, Earth, and
Biology sciences. Around twenty-six to
twenty-nine students stepped up to
the challenge of answering the tricky
questions, and were cheered on by
the eighteen who participated and
watched the competition.
With the three categories
covered in the Science Quiz Bowl,
each category contained three overall
winners in the end: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
place. For the first category, Physical
Science, Suricke B. took first place,
followed by Rocco D. in second place,
and Malachi E. taking third place. In
Earth Science, Malachi E. was the first
place winner, Rocco D. was second
place winner, and Kailin F. was third
place winner. In the last category,
Biology, Rocco D. claimed first place,
Malachi E. in second, and Julianna N.
in third. Great job Rocco, Suricke,
Malachi, Julianna, and Kailin! The
Science Quiz Bowl was then
presented with the grand champion,
which was calculated from the total
points of all three events.
Congratulations to Malachi E., for
becoming the 2017 grand champion.
