6) What are some pets you?ve had or
would like to own?
I?ve never really had any pets since I was a
little girl. I would probably get a fish tank
because I find them very relaxing, and I
wouldn?t have to take it out for a walk or
clean up its mess.
8) What movie do you think would
be greatly improved if it were made into a
musical?
I really don?t have an answer for that because
I don?t watch that many movies, and most of
the movies I watch are biographies or things
like The Hobbit and The Return of the King.
7) If you could pass any wisdom to
your students, what would you share? 9) When you were in high school,
who was your favorite teacher? Why?
Lots of things, but the bottom line is to live in
the moment and trust in God. Get in touch
with your roots. God knew every one of us
before He even created the world, so He
knew exactly who we were, how we would be
like Him, where he would put us in time, and
what He wanted us to do with our lives.
Spending the time to focus on where we
come from and where we are going is
something that I think is really important to
do. Many years ago, Pierre Teilhard de
Chardin, a French philosopher and Jesuit
priest who trained as a paleontologist and
geologist, said that, ?We are not human
beings having a spiritual journey. We are
spiritual beings having a human experience.?
I think the whole world should come back to
that thought?we are spirits and we are going
to the Spirit, but we have this human journey
in between. We are here, at this time and
place, for a reason. So, staying in touch with
who we really are, our roots, and moving
ahead in that direction is, to me, the most
important thing. I had several, but the one that stands out the
most is my Physics teacher. She was a very
gentle person and a great teacher. With her
help I ended up with an A in Physics even
though I am horrible at math.
10) What is your first memory from
school?
I think my first memory of school goes back
to kindergarten?the first time I was allowed to
walk to school all by myself. I felt really proud
because I was able to find my way there.
Nowadays, sending a kindergartener to
school alone is not possible because cities
are too dangerous, but it was different back
then.
11) What is the best and worst
purchase you have ever made?
The best purchase I have ever made would
definitely be all the books in my library. I can?t
think of anything specific for the worst
purchase, but it would probably be the things
I bought thinking they were great and looked
nice but that I ended up never using.
