SUMMER SKI
Summer is here and it?s the perfect time to start new habits, and feel refreshed. As young
people and teenagers, one of our biggest struggles is our skin, the changes it goes through, and
so forth.
Throughout my teenage years, I have experimented and tried several methods to clean my
skin and to maintain it, to look young and fresh. Following are some tips.
Remember: Both boys and girls should take care of their hygiene, skin health, and
appearance; these tips should be applied to both genders.
1. Wash you r f ace daily.
You don?t really need expensive products and
treatments for the basics of skincare. What
you do need is a specific soap for your face;
do not ever use the same soap you use for
your hands or body for your face, as it will
completely dry out your face and give it a
harsh look. Instead, look in your local
pharmacy for face soap. There is a huge
variety you can choose from and all of them
have different benefits.
You should wash your face twice a day. In the
morning, wash your face to get rid of the
puffiness, to remove any excess oil, and to
help you wake up and feel refreshed for the
day. At night, wash your face to remove all the
dirt, dust, or anything that might have gotten
attached to your skin during the day. You will
also get a relaxing feeling by washing off the
day from your face.
2. Wat er is you r f ou n t ain of you t h .
Drink around 8 glasses of water daily. This will
not only help every system in your body, but it
will also improve the health of your hair, nails,
and skin. Drinking water will make your skin
look brighter and will also remove any toxins
in your skin. Now, you should not only drink it!
If you feel your skin is getting dry, pat some
water onto your face, either with your hands
or a towel, and let your skin absorb the water
for about 5 minutes. Keep yourself hydrated
at all times to help your overall health.
3. Never f or get t o m oist u r ize.
Right after washing your face, in the morning
and even at night before going to bed, you
should put on some moisturizer or hydrating
cream. Even if you have oily skin, moisturizing
will prevent any break-outs and stains in your
skin. Choose one that works better for your
skin type, e.g. people with dry skin should use a
cream with a more buttery/creamy consistency,
while people with oily skin should use a more
watery cream to avoid any extra oil.
4. Su n scr een is you r w eapon .
As much as we sometimes forget, or get lazy
to put on some sunscreen, it is extremely
important. Wearing sunscreen helps prevent
your skin from getting dry, dehydrating and
even staining. Using sunscreen will also
prevent your skin from getting any
discolorations and dark spots, sagging or
leathery skin, and wrinkles; furthermore, it
also prevents the development of skin cancer
and skin damaging.
