It was a warm spring day
back in 2017. I had just joined
Alpha Omega Academy, and it was
the beginning of a new chapter of
my school life as a high school
sophomore. On the Online Classes
list I saw a very interesting class
name, ?Blue Umbrella Staff
Meeting?, that was about to go live.
I did not know what it was all
about, so out of curiosity I decided
to join in.
Never could I have imagined that
one simple click on that link would
take me through an amazing
journey of discovery, adventures,
and lots of laughter.
It has already been 3 years
working as a staff member for the
Blue Umbrella, participating in 13
issues for which I wrote 15 articles;
before this I had not developed my
writing skills to a point where I
would enjoy it, but the freedom I
was given to write whatever I
wanted encouraged me to become
a better writer. Ranging from travel
articles, to interviews, experiences,
tips and even recipes, I explored
the world of ideas inside my mind
and shared a part of it with the
world. I was lucky enough to be
part of the layout design team for
11 issues, through which I grew,
not only as a designer using my
visual and artistic talents, but I also
grew as a friend and a leader
directing the layout team.
