A . Our country has so many interesting things to see , it is hard to narrow it down . I think one of the most awe-inspiring things I have seen is the old-growth redwood forests in Northern California . They are just mind-blowing . A funny story from our travels happened one time when we were traveling through Alaska . Someone broke into our car and stole our credit cards , money , and driver ' s licenses . When we called 911 to get a police report , they asked if the thief was still there . We said we didn ? t know , and they told us ,? OK , well , call back tomorrow ; we don ? t work on Sunday .? My husband and I were like ,? Isn ? t this 911 ? What do you mean you don ? t work on Sundays ?!? It is funny now , but it was stressful then .

A . We have eaten guinea pigs in Peru , and in Kenya , one of our friends always brings us a homemade yogurt with a charcoal mixture that is a huge treat for the local kids . We can usually manage to drink it , but I wouldn ? t call it a treat ! One of the best things to eat is bananas and mangoes when you are in an equatorial area . They are so good !

A . One of my students from last year is an Israeli Christian . She has talked about the unique perspective of living in an area as a religious minority . I love hearing from students from all over the world ( including our country ) and hearing about their lives , cultures , and experiences .
Q . What is one piece of advice you ? d like t o share w it h all ICA st udent s ?
A . Our God is holy and good . You can depend on Him to be close to you always . Life ? s circumstances don ? t always make sense to us , but our God is always close by . He is there in the highs of life and the lows . Call on Him . He will bring you peace even in the toughest of days . Your teachers truly care about you . Know how much you are loved and valued as a child of God and as an ICA student .
Thank you for helping the student body get to know you better , Mrs . Yelton . Your faithful engagement with students and bright manner of teaching surely make a positive impact for Him and His kingdom .
