paragraph they wrote was filled with references to her caring nature and Christlike heart .
Dr . Quint , or Mary Ellen to me , was the matriarch of our school and a pillar of Alpha Omega Publications ( AOP ). Dr . Quint was a devoted follower of God , and outside of her family , believed that her work as an educator and watching students succeed was her most important calling . Dr . Quint started with AOP in 1979 , where she authored much of the original LIFEPAC curriculum that continues to be used today . She served in many different roles within the organization , and we are so thankful she became part of and remained part of Ignite Christian Academy so many years ago .
She recently celebrated both her 45-year anniversary with the organization and her 81st birthday . She was exceptionally kind and tenacious . Her speech , especially with students , was always gracious and seasoned with salt , but in a way that also challenged them to grow ( Col 4:6 , Col 2:7 ). She always made everyone she encountered feel incredibly seen and valued . Dr . Quint ? s bucket list was simply to complete the work that God had called her to . With over 60 years in education , she certainly accomplished this goal . I have no doubt that when Mary Ellen met Jesus face to face , she heard , ? Well done , my good and faithful servant ?( Matthew 25:21 ). Through Mary Ellen , we have seen a glimpse of the beauty of God because her light has shined so Page 12 brightly for Christ . Her legacy will have a forever impact on me personally and our school . -Mrs. Ellis
Dr . Quint was both my colleague and my friend . She was a constant encouragement through her e-cards , her sincere interest in her students and us staff , and most of all , her genuine walk with the Lord . She was never too busy to pray with me or point me to God ? s Word . She once told me , ? I ' ve narrowed much of life down to three words : Surrender , Trust , Follow !? That advice has stuck with me , and even as I face challenges today , I think of her wisdom . Surrendering our desires and problems to Jesus , trusting Him to provide in His best way , and following Him no matter what ? Mary Ellen ? s voice still rings in my ears , and her example continues to inspire me now . I miss her so much , but I know there is no place she would rather be than with our Savior and seeing Him face to face . -Mrs. Parnell
Dr . Mary Ellen Quint lived her faith : ? surrender , trust , follow ?. Mary Ellen surrendered her life to her Lord then allowed Him to work in her professional and personal life . My being her substitute teacher for many years , I saw the Christian values and concerns she had for her students . She loved teaching , always putting her students first by working into the wee hours of the night to give positive , constructive criticism to each one . She devoted her life to education , giving 45 years to Imagine Learning . I also saw the trust she had in her Lord and Savior . Despite
