The Secretary of State comes to active adults (age 62+) at the JRC.
Take a Rules of the Road course to review safe driving techniques and
Illinois driving laws. Following the course, you may take the vision
screening exam required to obtain or renew a driver’s license. You
may also renew a driver’s license. (Drivers age 75 and over must take
a driving test at a Driver Services facility.) A state photo ID card may be
obtained for a $20 fee. Persons 65 or over may obtain a one-time, free,
non-expiring state ID card. Proper ID is required for both a license and
a State ID. See the JRC Front Desk or bloomingdaleparks.org for a list
of acceptable documents. Lights snacks will be available.
