Block Craze recently talked to a Youtube User about how they work with Redstone and why they love it so much. This is what ccde had to say.
It has been with us in Minecraft since Alpha 1.0.1 (PC) where it was called Red Ore Dust. In Alpha 1.0.4 (PC) it was renamed to the name most of us in the community will use frequently today – Redstone. Many of us just look at the item and wonder how people can create such sensational mechanical masterpieces from board games to computers and this months Redstone build is no exception.
The creator of this fantastic “5 Track Music Mixer” build is Minecraft user ccde. In an interview with him he told Block Craze “The reason why I love Redstone would probably be because it adds a kind of puzzle to the game in my mind.” Afterwards he continued by explaining that many Redstone Minecrafters who use Redstone on a regular basis have problems with the technology. “To me, it's not hard making something; it's just hard trying to imagine where each piece of Redstone should go to make a certain thing work, and then how to activate that Redstone. That for me is fun, and adds a challenge to Minecraft.” Like many Redstone experts ccde has seen the development of Redstone from very early versions of Minecraft in the Beta stages where he first started working with this glowing red electric element. “I have learned how to do a lot of things with it that I never thought were possible in Minecraft. This kept me going and made me want to keep making cool machines.” He concludes.
