Oxford Street, one of the worlds best places for shopping. Attracting over half a million customers on a daily basis. The location is very much in town and offers a range of stores to adventure in. The footfall of Oxford Street is 220million per anum.

The audience they mainly attract are tourists as it is the key shopping location in the heart of London. The stores located on the street are affordable such as Topshop, Urban Outfitters, JD etc. Oxford street is so big and such a key place to open a store many retailers choose to open up more than one of their stores on the street. This enables their commercial performance as if one store is sold out of an item they will

then be able to refer them to one of their other stores.

Another factor that makes this a prime location is that there are many transport links, it is very easily accessible from all over london as all lines go into town and Central line actually stops at the heart of the street, Oxford Circus.

The shops are also open till late which makes it much more appealing to tourists especially if they have flown in late and want to do some late night shopping.

Not only do they attract tourists from abroad but also Up North etc they also attract locals, however locals are not their main source of income.
