Limpopo, Venda,
Engineering student
and a proud mom with
a voice of an angel.
Born in a small Village
outside Thohoyandou
called Vondwe.She
loves music so much,
she is quite and
choose music to
express her inner
self.She believes in
uplifting people spirits
when they feel
hopeless through
music.

Q:How did you get the
name Yapie?
A:My dad gave me the name when I
was still young, he used call me with
the name especially when he plays
with me, I then decided to shorten
it from my full name Yapi-Yapi.
Q:Can you describe your
kind of music?
A:Soul music.
Q:What does Venrap mean
to you?
A:Venrap to me means a new music
era that is giving our Venda
musicians or artist a belief that we
as Venda people we are also
musically talented.
Q: Are you willing to raise
a flag for Venrap
movement?
A:Yes I'm 100% willing to raise the
flag.
Q: Any artist from Venda
you would like to work
with?
A:I would love to work with Funie
Nematswerani.

Q: In your opinion, what's
missing in Venrap
movement?
A: Creativity is really missing, most
artist fail to bring new taste in music
they are always holding on the same
style of music that they know
instead of adding some spice and
new ingredients on music.
Q:Who is your favorite
artist from VITO at the
moment?
A:I don't really have my favorite in
VITO because most of them that I
love they are all good and I find it
hard to have a favorite but let me go
with Mizo phyll.
Q:Any shout out?
A: I will just send my regards to
God first who made me come this
far, my parents for their support,
Faceboy, lil-f, Dj thakhie, Guru fam,
Akid, friends and my fans.
Q:What are your future
plans?
A:I just want to find myself as one
of the best female artist in the
world and owning my own record
label.

A:No,I’m not really into politics.

music?
A:I would love people to learn to
have peace within themselves, help
them express what they feel
without any fear and build
themselves.

youngsters who are new
to the game?
A:All I can advise them is that they
should first know what they are
doing and never do music for fame
but for people and by doing that, it
will help them grow musically.
