Despite having a busy schedule, Blink had an opportunity to chat with the
stunning, fun-loving and most highly talented Lady Zinhle Ngidi, popularly
known for her amazing singing abilities. She is famously known for being the
most dominant and an amazing vocalist on a hit song “Shumaya” by Durban
nyts.The song was Mzansi's street anthem, from townships, villages and to
suburbs.

inhle grew up in a
family of music lovers,
so around 11 years
old she was already
singing for her peers just for
money. Ever since from a very
young age, she always
wanted to do music though as
she grew she was told that
music can be done as a
hobby only not a career but
she never saw herself doing
anything else besides music.
Her family was always
supportive on her musical
career but they encouraged
her to finish school first.
growing up in Durban
contributed a lot in her music
journey too, she looked up to
the likes of Durban's finest,
B.O.P(Brothers of Peace), Lebo
Mathosa, Bongo Maffin &
Mafikizolo to name a few.
Being an amazing vocalist on
a well-known song 'Shumaya'
with Durban Nyts opened
many opportunities for her; she
got to do more traveling. “. I
love how my passion for
singing & music grants me the
opportunity to travel & meet
people who appreciate your
craft on a daily basis, says
Zinhle.
“I started working with
Trademark in 2014 when they
did shumaya. I met the guys
through my current manager
Bhuti Sithole, who was the only
person who strongly believed
that Shumaya would be a hit.”
