Pittsburgh Office Food Donation Drive and Volunteer Project at Food Bank
In November , colleagues from our Pittsburgh office volunteered at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank , sorting donated products and repackaging food items into boxes for pick up . Leading up to the volunteer event , the office held a donation drive to collect food items for the food bank . The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank works to provide nutritious food and long-term stability to those struggling in local communities .
New York Office Volunteers Assemble Hygiene Kits for Shelter
Colleagues from our New York City office volunteered their time in December to assemble hygiene kits for donation to the nonprofit organization Win , the largest provider of family shelter and supportive housing in New York City . Win provides holistic solutions of safe housing , critical services , and ground-breaking programs to help people succeed on their own – so families can regain their independence and their children can look forward to a brighter future . Volunteers packed about 90 bags with essential personal hygiene care to be donated .
Washington , D . C ., Office Helps Ayuda Holiday Toy , Clothing & Food Drive
In December , colleagues from our Washington , D . C ., office volunteered with Ayuda , an organization that provides legal , social , and language services to low-income immigrants in the D . C . area . The organization ’ s goal is to provide access to justice and help their clients navigate the immigration and justice systems . In addition to donating items to Ayuda ’ s holiday toy and clothing drive , our volunteers wrapped all the gifts for the children of families that work with Ayuda , wrote handwritten holiday cards , and packed 50 grocery bags to be distributed over the holiday season .
Chicago Office Volunteers with Cradles to Crayons
In December , colleagues from our Chicago office sorted and boxed donated books at Cradles to Crayons that will be distributed to children in the Chicago area . Cradles to Crayons strives to make lives better for children in need . They rely on donations and volunteering to ensure that every child has equal access to items like clothing , books , and toys .
Houston Bar Association Adopt-A-Family Program
Colleagues from our Houston office participated in the Houston Bar Association ’ s Adopt-A-Family Program in December . The Program is organized by the Houston Bar Association ’ s AIDS Outreach Committee , and the Houston office has participated for more than 15 years ( even before merging with Blank Rome ). The Program provides holiday gifts for families affected by HIV or AIDS by matching Houston-area firms and businesses with families in need . Thanks to our generous colleagues , wish list gifts were wrapped and delivered in time for the holidays .
