Philadelphia VIP Small Business Legal Clinic with ACC Greater Philadelphia
Blank Rome, in collaboration with the Association of Corporate Counsel(“ ACC”) Greater Philadelphia, hosted a Small Business Legal Clinic with Philadelphia VIP, a nonprofit legal services organization that connects low-income Philadelphians, small business owners, and entrepreneurs with pro bono counsel. During the clinic, volunteer attorneys provided one-hour consultations to local entrepreneurs, offering practical guidance on entity formation, labor and employment, intellectual property, real estate, and other transactional matters.
SCRIE / DRIE Rent Relief Clinic with Capital One
Blank Rome volunteers partnered with Capital One volunteers to support a Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption(“ SCRIE”) / Disability Rent Increase Exemption(“ DRIE”) Rent Relief Clinic in collaboration with Legal Services NYC. Through the clinic, volunteers assisted eligible New York City residents with applications for the SCRIE / DRIE programs, which help seniors aged 62 and older and individuals with disabilities remain in affordable housing by freezing their rent. The initiative provided critical guidance to residents navigating the application process while advancing housing stability for vulnerable communities.
