Blacktown Youth Services Association( BYSA) is quietly transforming lives in our local area. As a dedicated social impact organisation, BYSA is committed to supporting young people, especially those who might have fallen through the cracks, by offering them a second chance and ensuring that no one is left behind.
BYSA provides a variety of support services designed to meet the needs of young people and their families. From offering the most basic necessities, to

long term personal development, the organisation works to create stability and opportunity.
Through its Food and Essentials program, BYSA ensures access to groceries( including over 1700 frozen meals from Dignity Ltd), hygiene products, and other everyday items, helping to ease financial pressure and provide dignity during challenging times.
Beyond immediate needs, BYSA helps young people find support systems out with its walls, including helping to match people with the right organisations and professionals, while advocacy efforts ensure that young voices are heard and respected. Social and emotional support programs create a safe environment where young people can build friendships, develop resilience, and

learn healthy coping strategies through both group and one on one sessions. Education and employment are also key pillars of BYSA’ s work. Young people are supported with tutoring, mentoring, and access to learning resources, empowering them to achieve their academic goals. At the same time, employment support workshops help participants write their resumes, prepare for interviews, look for job opportunities and skills needed to enter the workforce with confidence.
A standout feature of BYSA is its diverse range of programs and workshops, all designed to encourage independence and self-belief. The‘ Inside & Out Makeovers’ program focuses on building self-esteem through practical skills like hair and makeup, while also encouraging positive body image. Participants celebrate their journey with a professional photoshoot and party to celebrate and recognise their progress.
Weekly programs such as‘ Tea With Tonez’ offer a relaxed, welcoming space for conversation and connection, while‘ Fully Seek!’ provides structured guidance for young people preparing to enter the workforce.‘ The Project’ gives young people the unique opportunity to design and implement their own community initiatives, fostering leadership and a
