Meet Sonya Murphy
Miss Black Globe International
Sonya Murphy is a versatile talent power-
house that has proven her commercial ap-
peal within the entertainment industry for
over 10 years. From performing for the
NBA as a professional entertainer to hold-
ing state, regional, and international beau-
ty pageant titles, she has demonstrated her
dedication to developing her talent and ex-
panding her love for the arts. She has also
appeared on national television in front of
300 million viewers as a CBS digital corre-
spondent for the award-winning television
show, "The Talk."
From her humble beginnings in rural Ten-
nessee, Sonya began modeling and talent
competitions in her early teens. Acting,
modeling, competitive ball room dancing,
and writing publications (in law, science,
health/beauty): these accomplishments
offer a mere glimpse into the dynamic ver-
satility that Sonya Murphy provides to any
entertainment experience.
Receiving awards for her commercial and
natural beauty (Prettiest Eyes, Best Per-
sonality, Best People Skills, Prettiest Smile,
and Best Hair), Sonya Murphy embodies
the phrase, "Real beauty comes from with-
in." Sonya lives in Memphis, Tennessee,
works in education and law, and enjoys
spending time with family, friends, and her
sorority sisters of Delta Sigma Theta So-
rority Inc.
