This region is one of the most popular amongst our BALA members. Relative safety, excellent standard of living, and ample job opportunities in education, business, and technology are attractions. There are some notable challenges when living in this region. Adjusting to a more conservative environment can be a bit difficult for some. Additionally , there are stark differences between the way that some

organizations and businesses operate versus the methods used in the states, which can be exasperating. Ultimately, if you can adapt easily, you may find that you have more disposable income than you had in the west and for many, a higher standard of living.
