There ’ s a reason that top salespeople sometimes earn more than CEOs , and that ’ s because they can land deals that keep their organisations growing . When looking for new opportunities , you can hunt new clients and new work , or farm current relationships and sell more to existing clients . Neither is easy : ask a hyena who often has to fight a lion or leopard for its food , or a bee that makes only a fraction of a teaspoon of honey in its entire lifetime . What ’ s interesting about both species is they work together in teams to feed themselves – a reminder that sales teams can deliver more than individuals working alone
